We started together in the gym by the decorated Christmas tree. There we sang Christmas songs as a school community. A special highlight was the dance group's performance of "Feliz Navidad".
The children then dispersed to the various rooms, where numerous craft activities had been prepared. Parents were on hand to help their own and other children with the crafts. They made reindeer from coffee filters, Christmas lanterns, Santa Claus window pictures, winter mobiles, Christmas trees from paper plates, colorful tree decorations, Santa Claus masks and much more - there was something for everyone. Our school is now beautifully decorated for Christmas thanks to all the great handicrafts.
A special highlight is the Advent calendar in a shoebox. In December, we can now open a box every day and are really looking forward to the little surprises.
The smell of freshly baked waffles filled the air during the break. There was also coffee at the waffle stands for the supporting parents - provided by the Friends' Association, to whom we would like to express our sincere thanks.
Finally, the children cleaned up together before watching the St. Martin's play once again. Once again with the help of a real pony, of course.
We thought the craft day was a complete success and would like to thank all the helpers for their support!
