Apple presses

We had a great experience this week with Mr. and Mrs. Gartmann, who visited us in the schoolyard with their apple press and accessories. In keeping with our science lesson topic "The apple", we were able to experience for ourselves how apple juice is made from apples.

After hard work shredding, pressing and bottling, each child was allowed to taste some apple juice. "It tastes much more like an apple than usual," was the children's verdict.
