The white Mein-Day group already decided at the beginning: We want to demonstrate for a good cause. The group then agreed that the theme should be environmental protection. Because too much garbage is thrown away in Gronau and that is not good for people or animals. Everyone agreed on that.
Once the theme had been found, the preparations for the demonstration began. Posters were diligently painted, a route was chosen and demonstration slogans were rhymed. The registration of the demonstration with the police in Borken was really exciting. It was particularly important to the Mein-Day group that the police would keep an eye on all the children and adults and accompany the demonstration. Once everything was sorted out, invitations to the demonstration were handed out to classmates and parents.
The demonstration was a great success and the white Mein-Day group and their classmates experienced in a very practical way how they can participate democratically in social life and make their voices heard.
