My-Day Group makes other people happy

In the run-up to Christmas, the pupils in the green Mein-Day group embarked on a special project. Together, they talked about the topic of poverty and the importance of compassion and support in the community. In child-friendly conversations, they learned that there are also people close to them who have less and are dependent on help - for example, visitors to the food bank.

To make these people happy, the children made colorful Christmas cards with lots of love and creativity. Each card was individually designed and filled with warm, heartfelt wishes. The cards were then collected and personally delivered to the local food bank by a small group.

The handover was a moving moment, both for the children and for those responsible at the food bank. "It's nice to see how the children want to do something good with so much joy and commitment," said a Tafel employee.

This project not only brought joy to others, but also showed the children how valuable it is to be part of a supportive community.
