Planting campaign by the orange MeinDay group

First, the pupils learned a lot about bees and why bees are important for nature. They wanted to create a habitat for bees and together chose a suitable spot in the schoolyard to create a new flowering meadow.

To do this, the children considered what materials were needed to create the bed and brought flower seeds, shovels and watering cans from home. While working, the group also discovered numerous earthworms in the soil. These were carefully collected and reintroduced into the newly created bed - as an important contribution to healthy soil and a lively flowering meadow.

Now everyone is eagerly waiting to see when the first flowers and bees appear.
