The Grüne-Aue-Schule in Gronau has now been in existence for one and a half years. Today, the school community is proud of what has been achieved so far: various collaborations with extracurricular partners, naming, school festivals, strengthening the school community, Mein-Day project, school fruit, reading days, new playground equipment in the schoolyard, various projects, excursions to extracurricular places of learning, founding the first reading club in Gronau, ... and its own school song.
The Grüne-Aue-Schule school song was written to suit the current school situation in the transition building at Grünstiege and shows that despite difficult external circumstances, this school is a place for every child - no matter who they are and who they want to be. Community cohesion is the focus of this school song, which was written to the melody of the well-known song "Komet" by Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207.
For this reason, the school management of the Grüne-Aue-Schule wrote a letter to Udo Lindenberg, introducing him to the previously unknown Gronau school and the school song.
As a result, the Grüne-Aue School received a surprise letter from Hamburg last week. Udo Lindenberg was the sender on the package. The team eagerly opened the parcel and couldn't believe their eyes: a picture of Udo Lindenberg, signed and personalized for Grüne-Aue-Schule. "We would never have expected this! The picture will have a place of honor!" said a delighted Marina Borninkhof, Deputy Headmistress of Grüne-Aue-Schule. "Now that our school is also known in Hamburg, we are all the more looking forward to our new school building, where we can display this valuable unique piece by Udo Lindenberg!" Borninkhof adds with a laugh.
