In the weeks beforehand, the group had worked on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals in the Mein Day project, particularly Goal 6 "Clean water and sanitation" and Goal 3 "Good health and well-being". In the city center, the students wanted to make this content visible and engage in conversation with passers-by.
A central part of the campaign was a washing line with items of clothing hanging on it. The children attached information on the water consumption that occurs during the production of individual items of clothing. This made it clear that water not only comes from the tap, but is also used in many everyday products. The children also handed out flyers they had designed themselves in the form of water drops with short water-saving tips.
At the same time, the students commemorated World Water Day on March 22. The aim was to raise awareness of the importance of water and remind people that clean water cannot be taken for granted by everyone and can become scarce worldwide.
