After a quick snack on the zoo grounds, they were allowed to visit the zoo school for an hour. There, the children learned a lot about animals and their "weapons". Afterwards, they went out to the enclosures with the zoo teacher. A special highlight was feeding the otters at the end of the lesson. All the children who dared were allowed to throw dead fish, shrimps, etc. over the fence to the otter pack.
The classes then visited the seal feeding station. Here the children learned a lot about seals and the work of an animal keeper. After a short break at the petting zoo and a well-earned ice cream, we continued on to the monkey forest. Finally, all the children were allowed to play extensively in the large playground before heading home again. It was a great and educational excursion!
