On Monday morning, the students set off by bus for the youth hostel, full of anticipation. After enjoying a picnic breakfast together and making room signs, the children were able to explore the grounds and play together. In the afternoon, the Elephant Class headed to the castle and the castle gardens. There, the itinerary included mini-golf, a visit to the playground, a delicious ice cream, and the musical fountain. The Polar Bear Class spent the day on an exciting forest adventure. In the evening, both classes took part in an atmospheric night watchman-led tour of Bad Bentheim.
Tuesday had more highlights in store. The Elephant Class explored nature on a big forest expedition. Among other things, they built a forest sofa, tried their hand at rope acrobatics, and visited the forest playground. At lunchtime, the children enjoyed their packed lunches. The Polar Bear Class got to know Bad Bentheim through a fun-filled city scavenger hunt. Afterward, the children got to show off their skills at mini-golf. After dinner, both classes wrapped up the day with games, arts and crafts, and a cheerful closing party.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday it was time to pack our bags again. After breakfast, we tidied up our rooms and spent our last few hours together playing and reading aloud. Then the group set off on the journey home.
The field trip was a special experience for all the children. In addition to many exciting activities, the focus was above all on spending time together, making new friends, and creating many wonderful memories. Exhausted but happy, the students returned home.
