With great dedication, passion, and enthusiasm, Ms. Foerster has laid the foundation for the development of our school over the past three years. Through her ideas, her drive, and her tireless efforts, she has made a decisive contribution to the development of the Grüne-Aue School.
Sustainability, the school’s ongoing development, and—above all—working individually with each child are particularly close to her heart. For her, focusing on the children—with their diverse strengths, needs, and personalities—and offering them the best possible opportunities for growth is an essential part of good educational work. Our school will continue to embody this philosophy.
At the same time, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere has always been—and continues to be—particularly important to her—among the faculty, in our collaboration with parents, and, of course, in our classrooms. With her ideas, her openness, and her enthusiasm, she has always provided us with excellent guidance and advice, thereby leaving a lasting impact on our school life.
Ms. Foerster will now be taking on a new professional role in another district. Although we’re happy for her as she takes this new step, saying goodbye isn’t easy for us. We will miss her very much at our school and are sincerely grateful to her for everything she has accomplished and brought about at the Grüne-Aue-Schule over the past three years.
On Tuesday, all the classes gathered to form a large guard of honor in her honor. The children waved colorful scarves at her, sang together, and made it a very special farewell. Afterward, many children also wanted to say goodbye to Ms. Foerster personally—with kind words and a warm hug.
The school will now be led by Ms. Borninkhof, who has also served as our school’s assistant principal for the past three years. With her experience, dedication, and educational philosophy, she will continue to provide reliable leadership to the Grüne-Aue School and work with the faculty to shape the next steps.
Dear Ms. Foerster, we would like to thank you for three special years, for your ideas, your enthusiasm, and your tremendous dedication to our school. Thank you for paying attention to each and every child, for your contributions to the school’s development, for your commitment to sustainability, and for everything you have done to foster a sense of community at our school.
