At various stations, the students were able to get an up-close look at the forest and its inhabitants. The hunting dogs were particularly interesting, as they provided insight into their special roles. The students were also able to admire a hawk up close.
At the mobile forest school, there were many native animals to discover and lots of interesting facts to learn about the forest as a habitat. The fishing club and a forester were also on site and talked about their work and the importance of the forest.
So there was plenty to see, hear, and learn that morning. The children had a lot of fun discovering the forest in all sorts of ways and came back with many new impressions.
